Facebook as described by Facebook itself is “a social
utility that connects you with the people around you”. Facebook has 140 million active users and the
fastest growing demographic is those 25 years old and older. 2.6 billion minutes are spent on Facebook
each day (worldwide). With all this in
mind, it is safe to say that Facebook is a great marketing tool. In fact, Facebook has what are called
Facebook Pages where a business sets up a Business Profile to stay connected
with customers, clients, and anybody interested in the business. Users express their interest in the business
by adding themselves as fans and engaging in the various tools that Facebook
offers such as writing on the wall and creating discussion groups. Another tool that Facebook offers for
businesses are Facebook Ads. You can
create an ad and target it to the audience of your choice. The ads are placed in the Ad Space on the
left hand side of the screen or under a News Feed. Facebook ads can be bought by the number of
clicks or the number of impressions. As
you can see Facebook is not only a place for individuals, but for businesses as
well. Visit TracSoft on Facebook.

Have you ever gone to a webpage and it looks horrible?
Have you ever seen messages like “Best viewed
in Internet Explorer”?
This is due to
the fact that some web browsers support some function that others don’t.
In today’s internet experience, searchers can
choose from various web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera to
name a few.
Each browser implements CSS,
HTML, and JavaScript somewhat different.
Webmasters are left with the challenge to make their web pages look good
and functional in the different browsers.
The best way to do this is to test the pages in the most popular web
browsers to make sure that they look good and that the functions work properly.
This is a critical step to make sure users
can view them.
Many times it will be
impossible to create an identical look, but an equivalent look is what
matters.
You don’t want to loose
potential users due to the fact that they use a different browser, so making
sure that it works in the most popular browser is certainly a very critical
step in web design.
Below you will find
a list of the most popular web browser for October 2008.
Firefox 44.0%
Internet Explorer 7 26.9%
Internet Explorer 6 20.2%
Chrome 3.0%
Safari 2.8%
Opera 2.2%
